Thread: Successful Honing session tonight???

So this morning, for some unknown reason. Probably poor prep. I had a remarkably terribly shave.
No razor burn or bleeding. Just more tugging than I would like on my almost freshly honed blades.

I started with my Boker, and when that sucked I moved over to my Dovo Bismarck which is usually
one of my favourite shavers. When my Bismarck failed me the only logical conclusion was that someone
intensionally dulled all of my razors, which meant a long evening of honing ahead.

I had 3 razors to touch up, and one to start at bevel setting.

Three hours later, I was done honing.

640 laps on the strop, and I was ready for some shave testing!!

The results, Mission accomplished!!







Had I shaved off most of the blood. It was dripping down my neck, chest and pooling on the floor.
I didn't know a lip could bleed so much without getting punched in the mouth.

Anyways, I'm still laughing.
