Wow, I couldn't have said it any better than that! And I really like my Wosty for it's shave, but I don't like the smooth metal on the tang... Even though it feels great on the face, to me it just doesn't feel as good in my hand as the double jimped razors.

All things equal - I prefer double jimping (I can tell where my fingers are by feel). That said, I'll take a thumb notch over the jimping any day. I think they are called thumb notches...

Yes, and that's a beauty. I don't yet have a single razor with a thumb notch. I think I may have to fuel up my RAD and get one. I have been very good for the last month, haven't bought a single razor in that time. Guess it's time to go out antiquing.

Thumb notch.... lol. It's calling your name : ). I feel as though they give me a better feel. YMMV, but one should try at least one - once. Happy hunting!

+1 for jimped thumb notch! Mind you I'm a little biased as my best shaver (so far) happens to fall into that category.

But then of my top-three shavers, one has the jimped thumb notch, one is double-jimped, and one isn't jimped at all, so jimping for me is clearly only a small part of the equation.
