Not in this country...Probably just get into a bar fight really!
To the OP, I have no answers tried and proven for myself, but those mentioned seem fairly popular. In the meantime, tell everyone you got the scars while duelling against an opponant with a case of Rapier (That's someome using two rapiers your saying you were up against)...

Mine was "scope nose" . Worst part was I did it in front of a half doz other guys. As I stood there with blood running down on my shirt the guy next to me asked: "Hurts?" No! Like standing here on the range with tears running down my face!

Thanked: 983We call that "Idiots eye" when you park your eyesocket right on the rim of the scope and pull the trigger. Quite a nasty thing to do on a high powered firearm. Mate of mine did it when he tried rifle shooting for the first time. Never did that one myself. The worst thing I always did was forget (several bloody times, in my defence I knew it to be empty) to take the mag off of the SLR when I was clearing the weapon. Never had any UD's or anything though, as aside from forgetting the mag, I was conciencious about safety.

Thanked: 443You've got the long scar on your cheek, now get the eyepatch. Why do people even bother asking this question??

Thanked: 884In addition to all the above, you could say you were cut up in a Heidelburg Duel.
Within the duel, it was seen as ideal and a way of showing courage to be able to stand and take the blow, as opposed to inflicting the wound. In fact, the victor was seen as the person who could walk away from the duel with an obvious scar. It was important to showing one's duelling prowess, but also that one was capable of taking the wound that was inflicted.

Thanked: 220I recently got a good cut on the end of my nose, I was shaving my upper lip ATG and I turned my head and almost cut the tip of my nose off. Huge scar, even bled the next day. My Wife found me a tube of scar diminishing cream, called ''Scar Zone''. You rub it into the scar twice a day for 2 to 3 minutes. I've been doing that and the scar seems to be getting fainter.

Thanked: 983Well here's a thought...Why wouldn't you want a scar?!...Really...You suffer the pain, you may as well have something for it!

Thanked: 0Nifty, I have a "brand" on the inside of my left elbow from a hot casing getting caught between my arm and the sling when it ejected. I thought the Range officer was going to wet himself laughing at me dancing around out there trying while trying to keep the still loaded rifle pointed down range.
But on a more serious note... my Girlfriend asked me if I was serious about taking up straight razor shaving and if I wanted to have a face full of scars... I simply told her "Pain heals, Chicks dig scars, Glory lasts forever....."Last edited by Triberius; 06-25-2012 at 02:42 AM.
