    Default No Chain

Lance Armstrong gave the best description of having all the elements come together back in his heyday, stating that some days the ride was so perfect, it was like there was no chain on the bike. As a bike enthusiast (an old and slow one), I completely understand that statement.

I had a "no chain" shave this morning. Have you had that experience when all the stars align and the lather is perfect, the blade feels flawless, the stroke is smooth and the beard just totally surrenders? What a great way to start the day!

Can't say I have...yet. Posts like this however remind me it's possible, and something to look forward to.

Yep, I've had these type of shaves before. And like Lance Armstrong, I've also used performance enhancers(glycerine) to achieve them.

You realize, of course, you'll have to return any shaving medals you've won.

As a bicycle rider for many years I also understand the statement. I think I came close the other day.
Couldn't feel the blade and got a BBS, however as I first started with the alum, I didn't feel anything, except when I got to the chin, and there it was, alum sting.
I went for alcohol base Bay rum and didn't sting at all, except on the chin. It surprise me.
So, close but no cigar. Double O

I actually quietened my chain the other day with the same WD spray I use on razors. Serendipity
