OMG
Did you notice the state of the cutting edge at the start of the vid. Rusty, chipped and looked like it was honed on the pavement ( sidewalk to you lot )
At times the blade is at 90deg and dragged along the skin.
Surely a hoax ?
Also the way he is bashing it against the sink

Interesting razor. The gent's shave technique looks good to me.

His technique looks sound, kinda hard to tell about that 90 degree thing. But I'm sure it's not a hoax shave.
But I can't figure out what's with the shirt and sweater vest lol.....

Well there is the penultimate YMMV example. My face would be in shreds.
YMMV

It's not about having tough skin; it's about not pressing down with the blade.

Wow, i'll say - looks like he could almost shave with a belt sander and be ok. My face would also be a mess too. He seems to put a fair amount of pressure on in some parts, far more than I could cope with and that 90 degree scraping, youch!
Still, if it works well for him - and it seems to, then awesome!

You're right about the pressure, but I disagree about skin
If you have abrasion resistant skin (or what I jokingly referred to as "leathery skin") your face will be able to tolerate much more abuse than someone with sensitive skin. Blade buffing, or even shaving the same area repeatedly, can be very harsh; of course some will be able to handle it better than others. I'm the first to admit that my face likely wouldn't tolerate what he's doing, but I'm also sure there are many gentlemen that could.

I now do one pass ATG. ONE pass no buffing or redoing with no pressure with a very sharp razor. If I try a three pass shave I risk razor burn. Even doing a single pass I need to be careful not go over the same area more than once or twice or the alum has her way with me. I have very fine whiskers and can only wince thinking of those who have both abrasion sensitive skin and really tough wiry beard.
YMMV
