Thanked: 88BBS / CBS / etc
Most of us have realized that smooth is relative, and decided what truly smooth with no whiskers at all feels like. Have you ever showered or washed your face after the shave, though, and found that you could detect little spots of stubble when your face was wet that weren't apparent when dry? Unlike many here, I shower after my shave; always have. Washing my face in the shower is always the true test for me whether I am actually BBS or just seemd like it when dry.
I should note that it's all academic - my wife thinks I'm smooth either way.

Me too. And it's frustrating for me to think that I'm done and then discover that I'm not yet where I want.

I use to let it frustrate me but I have gotten to the point were DFS is just right for me. If I get BBS with out irritation it's just icing on the cake.

I whole heartedly agree. You venture from the bathroom believing you have the smoothest shave out and as you sit in the sun and rub your hand around your face and neck it dawns on you that its not that smooth, so back into the bathroom I go and the SE comes out to do the tidy up.
I am of the belief that it will take a very long time for me to reach the Nirvana state known as BBS, it may be frustrating but at least the journey is fun but challenging.
So say we all.

Thanked: 485The worst thing is when you're on the way to work and you feel a spot. I used to keep a Bic in the glove compartment of my car for such 'emergencies'. These days I just put up with it...
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Kinda of reverse, but I love how cold winter air will make a close shave even closer

Thanked: 1195I haven't showered after shaving in many years, so I can't comment on that. But I generally find the opposite to be true: if I feel my face when done shaving (but still wet) I might detect some whiskers and call it a DFS - but when my face is dry and my post shave routine is complete it definitely feels smoother. My guess is either the skin puffs out or the whiskers recede. YMMV of course.
BTW - what is CBS???
