Back of the neck, under the arms
I find that my straight razor is useful for shaving some other parts of the body too. This gives me something to do with the extra lather on the brush once every couple weeks or so.
The back of the neck is the first part of my "fresh from the barber" haircut that starts to deteriorate. I find that with the use of a small hand mirror and the large wall-mounted mirror I can see the back well enough to touch it up with a straight razor. Moving the razor with the double reflection from two mirrors is a challenge at first. I tend to move the hand in the wrong direction sometimes, so I move very slowly until the blade is in contact with my skin.
Under the arms, a couple of strokes will remove the hair. There are some challenges in this area too, due to the uneven topography of muscles and ligaments under the skin. Slow and careful is in order here too.
Since I do these areas seldom the hair on my razor is usually longer and I flick the mess into a wastebasket rather than sending it down the drain.
Anyone else shave these areas with a straight?

Thanked: 2The straight does a good job under the arms, just like a squeegee and its done. Your right about the uneven topography though, takes some additional care. Even with that its faster than anything else Ive used.

I grow a real rug up front so I give myself an electric trim every couple of months or so, as soon as soap isn't able to penetrate to the skin. My SO's fairly reasonable about things so she doesn't care if I'm hairy or not. I do it for personal hygenic reasons.

I think we've quickly passed "too much information" stage on this post!

Thanked: 1587I do my head as well as my face with a straight. I've never used two mirrors for the back of the head - I just go by feel. However, I've only tried against the grain in this area twice, and both times were not particularly successful as it's pretty tricky to keep a consistent angle when your hand is trailing the blade and you can't see...

I was going to take a poke at the armpit-shavers, but I just don't think I can top that. Hilarity ensues.
