Thanked: 8Anticoagulants
What experiences have fellow straight razor shavers had with anticoagulants? Has it caused any problems in shaving? I have to be VERY careful these days as I am on a couple of these.

I am on two 175mg caps a day of Pradaxa. I have had no problems with my wet shaving. Obviously I am very careful with my straight razors. Each razor is different from the next. I know my razors well and enjoy my shaves accordingly and without any serious incident. Learn carefully and never hurry.
Good luck!Bob

When I was taking Plavix, if I nicked myself no matter how small, it could take hours to get the bleeding to stop, so I really had to concentrate to not cut myself. I think it helped improve my technique

Thanked: 2027Coumadin? Plavix? I take all sorts of Nsids,Naprocin,Aspirin,I bleed like stink when cut,But as above,if you know your blades, your facial contours,Your muscle memory is developed, you take your time, the trick is do not cut yourself while shaving,I know it sounds simple, just the way it shakes out.
