Thanked: 603Ahhh... "patina". Reminds me of the pasta ads on the old Sgt. Bilko show -- "EEE-yah... pas-TEEN-ah!"
Which also reminds me of Jimmy Smit's line on Tuesday night's season-premiere of "Sons of Anarchy", in which he says to Gemma: "I like a little patina on my precious metal."

You can try wearing a surgical glove while using the blade or coating it with something like one of the anti rust oils used by gunsmiths. Accragaurd comes to mind.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

This is interesting. What sort of occupation would lead to this? Something embedded to cause brown patina?
Polish it up and go with TuffGlide. I work with chemicals and corrosion every day. Lots of hand washing. No such problems.
I don't really know the answer. TuffGlide is my best suggestion. OH! Wash hands after TuffGlide too!Last edited by sharptonn; 09-15-2012 at 01:14 AM.
