I had a bet with my youngest son that if he could shave with one of my cut-throats, without cutting himself, he could have it. After lathering himself up, he gingerly ran the blade over his face, he wanted that razor, i guided him as best as i knew how. He shaved his whole face, there were whiskers in the lather, no blood, no burn, and a smile from ear to ear. Did i win? did i lose? I lost a razor, but won a moment i will never forget. I was so proud of him, even if he had nicked himself, he would have got the razor. I was never shown how to shave, so never taught any of my boys. I realise now it is an important part of growing up that has been taken away by our consumer orientated need for instant solutions to lifes little problems, the dreaded cartridge. Two sons to go, and already five grandsons, who knows how many more? i will do my best to teach them all one day. Without this website, this would not have happened, so a huge thank you to all who make this place possible, and all the like-minded folk on here. Grazor.
