Thread: 1st Straight Razor Shave

I recieved my straight razor kit from Straight Razor Design today it was all I expected and more. I couldn't wait to shave with a straight razor for the first time. I took a good hot shower to soften the beard lathered up and begin to hack away. I must say I'm rather pleased; I only needed one blood tranfusion during the whole process.. LOL

All joking aside I shaved WTG and ATG with only one little tiny nick using my non-dominant hand. I was extreamly pleased with how I done. This is absolutely the closest shave I've ever had. I must say I feel as though I could kick Josey Wales butt tonight. lol

I decided to switch to a safety razor a few months back because of the price of the Fusion cartriges. It was a much closer shave, I've always been intrigued by straight razors so a few weeks ago decided to give this a shot. After much reading on this post I ordered my kit last week and I can surley say I'm Hooked..
