    Default Smith and Wesson straight?

I have just been looking around online and came across a Smith and Wesson Straight razor. Has anyone ever used one or can tell me if they are any good? I know they make good guns and a S&W .308 just filled up my freezer for the winter last week.

I have never seen one, but they have loaned their name to a lot of products in recent years (pocket knives spring to mind). Suffice to say, I have seen nothing with the S&W logo that stood up to the reputation forged with their firearms

They've had issued some crappy imported edge tools using their brand (carving tools, etc). I wouldn't trust it. Let someone else buy it and find a vintage NY or solingen razor for $15 or $20 instead.

We have some previous posts on this.

They come up as vintage razors similar to Remington and a Few others. Collectors love them. From what I remember they were quality pieces. I'm not sure if they were American made or German.

'Bout as good as their knives, these days... Which would be "not good" at all..you would think that if they go through the trouble of making a decent gun, they would do the same for their knives.. But, no...

New ones are a pocket knife with no point, flat grind. Don't waste your money if you want to shave with it.

Pretty much my take on this also. The money must be too hard to resist for Smith and Wesson. A real shame, if you ask me. There is something called brand dilution. They run the risk of their name being associated primarily with cheap junk.
