shaved with a freshly honed wapi
Ok Guys been doing this since June quick question? Lathered up some mwf put on aos pre shave gel then the mwf. After i shaved noticed on my chin alot of razor bumps and redness on my neck never happened before. Lately i have noticed alot of redness on my face after shaving, usually do two passes with the razor should i change soaps allow more time between shaves?? Really at a loss, after i shave i splash on some razor burn bump care liquid followed by aos after shave gel then 100% aloe vera gel?? I really dont wanna go back to a mach 3?? what can i do??

Are you changing the angle of attack differently for some reason?
Have you been giving more pressure than usual lately. I would look into that first. Also try to narrow things down..one razor for a week or so. Then you can start to eliminate things like soap and such..but stay with something as a baseline and try not to have to many variables to see what could be causing the problems.

I'll take a different approach. I'll assume your technique is getting better not worse. That being said, is there anything else that is different in your routine? Have you always used the same soap? Are you shaving more frequently than before? The irritation is either from the blade or something else in your routine. But that could be the soap or the pre-shave. If this is the same routine as you have been doing since June, I'm at a loss.

Thanked: 55Unless it's an allergic reaction of some sort (not likely) it's probably not the kind of soap. It may be not enough soap if you go over one tough stop several times in one pass.
I'd say use less pressure and go slower than usual in those areas and make sure you don't go over one spot multiply times on one pass.
Let us know what works.

Thanked: 31Could be the weather actually. I have sensitive skin, and I have noticed that when using a mild soap it's not a problem unless I have been out in cold weather. Apparently the cold makes my skin hypersensitive. If this is the problem then the solution is simple: shave in the morning (and use mild soap).

I would try to eliminate anything different from your usual bump free shave. Maybe start with the soap if that's new.

Thanked: 8Trondsi may have a point. As the days get colder, humidity drops and skin drys out more. Iwonder if a bit more hydration (not recommending any particular approach but maybe try a more moisturizing aftershave balm
