Thread: New Ear Piercing!!

Lets start off with saying I don't like receiving phone calls when I am shaving. So I started shaving and I got a phone call which annoyed me, then the nature of the call just made me mad. So once the call was done I took my razor and put it to my sideburn and noticed that I jabbed my earlobe. I thought well that is going to bleed so I continued with my shave and I didn't see any blood from my ear. I figured maybe I didn't cut myself. Well while rinsing my face I noticed this nice little "line" on my earlobe and when I looked at it closer I have a nice deep cut that went almost all the way through. I can't figure out how it didn't bleed. Needless to say don't answer the phone while shaving. Here is the culprit that cut my ear so cleanly that it didn't bleed. The barbers notch works nicely for getting close around the nostrils, but apparently dangerous for the ear.

Man you're lucky! I caught my ear lobe with a barber notched W&B and it bled like a stuck pig for 15 minutes lol.

I have my sideburns as long as my ears and it solves all of these problems. That and turning off my phone when I don't want to be bothered!

Agreed. I never really thought about it much, but having long sideburns (as I do) is the perfect deterrent!

You might as well get rid of the razor: once a razor tasted blood, it will alway crave for more. And a "vampire razor" to boot! Sucked up every drop of blood from the cut! Not good....

funny you posted this .. i just got my lobe about 15mins ago , not nearly as deep as you speak of though ..

i hit it and it felt like it was gonna be a bleeder but nothing i was more rushing then anything , as i get more confident i catch my self movin faster and careless .. im gonna get it good here pretty soon ...lol..

So...what kind of earring are you going to get?

From the 1/4" slice in my ear I could fit a huge earring in it if I wanted. Wish I could have gotten a picture of the gash spread open so everyone could see how deep it actually was. I can't get over the fact it didn't bleed though. I can nick my chin with the tiniest cut and it will bleed forever.

A stropped edge cuts so very clean. The times I've cut myself, I knew because of the way my hand moved, not because I felt it.

I would get a Garnet earring to remind me of the Coticule that sharpened the blade.
