Thanked: 1Last Shave of 2012
So it seems to me that the last shave of the year should be a special one. 2012 has been a big year for me because I discovered this glorious hobby in March and I think of nothing except shaving....restoration...honing...soaps and creams...I think you get the picture. Therefore I am ending the year with a Christmas gift I received. Truefitt and Hill sandalwood shave cream followed by sandalwood aftershave balm followed by sandalwood cologne. The shave will be performed with a double duck goldedge that I fixed up a bit.
What will you be ending the year with?
P.s. I will sipping on Jameson as my preferred New Years Eve drink.
Be Safe and Have a Good New Year

Agreed. An excellent idea. However, I'm torn between a final 2012 shave and the first shave of 2013. I think it's fun to take off an extra day's growth, so I may wait till morning.

Just finished my last shave of the year about 1/2 hour ago. I used a Thiers-Issard Grelot that I made shave ready myself with Mitchell's Wool Fat. Great shave and a good way to ring out the year.

Last Shave of 2012
This is what I used for my last shave of '12:
DOVO BQ 5/8 FH
AOS Pre-shave (lemon)
AOS Soap (lemon)
Black Cologne Aftershave ( I really need to get something better)
This is my 5th SR shave and it seems like '13 will be a year to learn and really learn, listen and practice!
Happy New Year to everyone!!!
