Is it stating that every time you put a razor into boiling water you "retemper" it? I am not a metallurgist, but I would think it would take longer than a quick dip to get the razor anywhere near that temperature. Maybe someone who makes razors and messes with forging and tempering and all that would chime in. Would also be nice to see what temperatures everyone tempers the razors they make at. I am also guessing different metals require different temperatures. Well it looks like I am going to be doing some reading now to try and get an idea of all that has to be done when making a razor or any blade for that matter.

I guess I shouldn't be asking all these questions. You know with trade secrets and all. I guess I will have to keep my lips sealed.
