Default Skin stretching for the chubby faced individual

I am just a fat faced fella

I am not overweight by any means but my face is just naturally round and chubby. I have found the skin stretching quite difficult to master even if I do small passes in small sections.

The main issue is the blade tends to push the chubby cheek skin forward which slows down the pass. I can usually work around this but the shaves are taking unusually long (not that I really mind unless I am running late)

Have any other fat faced friends discovered a technique to conquer this issue? (losing weight is not a solution, I am 6 feet 3 inches 180 lbs)

    thanks!

I've used other methods but found that a hand towel used to really pull on the skin really makes a difference, especially going ATG up the neck.

You might also try alum on the tips of your fingers for traction and stretching the skin closer to the razor. For example Instead of stretching the skin from the your temple area and starting at the jawline try maybe stretching half way in between. Once you get close to your fingers, just move up. Did I get that or just confuse you? In other words stretch smaller portions of your face at a time, this makes for a better stretch if you've got a chubby face (I do but I'm a fat old guy)
The older I get, the better I was

OldGI I tried stretching closer to the blade and it helps some, but still far from where I want to be. I will keep at it!

Make sure your angle is not too steep. 30 degrees or so is usually recommended, but go ahead and experiment with less. I often use a very small angle on certain areas, 10-15 degrees, even going wtg. I find it helps.

I agree, less angle may help and it seems to me if your razor is pushing your skin ahead of the blade you maybe using too much pressure. Your razor should be glideing along your skin.

agreed, 30 degrees is too steep for me, i use a very tiny angle, seems that it still pushes the skin forward with almost no pressure......

anybody get liposuction on their cheeks?

I would think liposuction would make you skin baggy, like a Basset Hound. Maybe facial Palates or aerobics or Tae-bo might help firm you skin up.
