Default 2nd Shave with Gold Monkey!:)

After honing her on the Norton 4K/8K and Naniwa 12 K, she shaves pretty good! Not perfect, but no nicks and a close shave Had to do several passes all over, but still getting the feel, ya' know? I am beginning to see how this is such an applied skill-you just gootta do it! Glad that my first forays into honing are using an $8.00 razor-I have too many $ vintage ones that were honed by Max and that will (hopefully) just need mnt. for awhile!-Gearhead

I honed up a Gold dollar #208 last year for the fun of it and was very surprised how she shaved.I still have it and it still holding the edge after a year.

Oh yeah, my 208 shaves wonderfully...the problem is, I have 2 of them (got them to learn honing) and the second one is complete crap. So it's their QC that sucks...you can never tell if you're going to get a good one or a bad one..

Dear Fellow Members-The ONLY reason that I bought a Golden Monkey was to practice plus the generally good reviews that she got! Still amazed at how well she holds an edge though!-Gearhead

Congrats on a good job of honing if it took a good edge it should last you a good amount of time.
