    Default Rust while Shaving???

Hi guys, I dont know if you have encountered the same problem, Yesterday while I was shaving with a Dovo Special, I noticed that after the shave when I was cleaning up the blade, 2 little spots of rust appeared. The blade was very clean with any dark spot at all. While I shave I dont rinse the blade in water or anything, I just clean the lather with my towel. I dont know if I should rinse it in hot water while I shave to remove the lather or use a sponge and continue shaving. Have you guys had the same issue?? What do you do to prevent this dark spots to appear??

    Thanks

I have a Puma carbon steel razor that has the same problem yours does. Little micro dark spots that are a bear to get off. I've tried putting motorcycle polish on it but that took forever to get it out. I was hoping the polish would leave a coating to prevent the discoloration but it didn't work.. I finally gave up. Didn't like worrying about spots on my beautiful Puma.
So I bought a stainless steel razor LOL (7/8 Henckels Friodur) problem solved.

I keep a roll of paper towels in the bathroom just for drying my razor after use. It takes only about 1/4 of a towel, and I feel like I'm getting all the water. I start by blowing out the pivot area like I'm playing the harmonica of blood (that is: carefully!), then dry the blade, then the inside of the scales. Finally I lay it, open, in a cabinet to dry. At some point after work in the evening I'll wander back it and close it up, after I think all the water is gone. No problems so far.
