Thanked: 0Some problems when shaving. Please help. *Update*
http://straightrazorpalace.com/shavi...ease-help.html
I done what everyone suggested in my previous thread. I have done a few sharpness tests and it appears the edge isn't sharp enough. As I mentioned before, it seemed sharp enough when I had my first shave with it but I must have dulled the edge when I stropped it. I've done some more research into the stropping and I think I stropped it too slowly and it wasn't rhythmic. I will have to hone it now so can anyone suggest what type of hone I should get for my razor. My only worry is that I hone it incorrectly and I will have to pay to sort the damage out. I knew I would have to hone it eventually but I didn't expect it to be this soon and seems to be just costing more and more money.

Thanked: 2It shouldn't be stropping too slow that's caused any problems. Slow stropping isn't as effective as fast stropping but shouldn't neccesarily cause any damage. It's worth doing more reading and seeing what people on here suggest before going out to get a hone, it might just be that you're not stropping effectively and once you get that sorted you'll see an improvement.

I would advise that you send your razor off to be honed. Honing yourself could just make things worse.
