    Default Stubbles

Hey everyone. Been shaving for few months now on a daily basis due to a heavy beard. So now my question: I shave WTG, XTG and ATG. I always see some stubbles left on my skin. My razors are very sharp, my lather is excellent. Is this normal or should one have clear skin visible?

Is your skin smooth after shaving or can stubble be felt with your hand?

The skin is smooth, but if I feel ATG I still feel them...

Best suggestion would be not to go ATG with the hand. I can feel stubble that way too so I don't do it. Moving the hand WTG it is smooth.

That's what we call "directional BBS"

If you have a thick heavy beard there will always be a shadow, no matter how smooth your face is. As long as the shave is smooth and comfortable you'll likely have to live with the perma-shadow. My beard isn't the heaviest in the world, yet not the lightest either (average) and I can see a beard shadow when I'm finished shaving too.

If you shave ATG and can feel stubble ATG, then something is not quite there yet. Which is normal. You need a great edge and great technique to feel smooth ATG. But for now, as long as you are getting what you feel is a close enough shave and no irritation, I wouldn't worry about it. Improvements will come with time and experience.
