Thread: 1st Satisfying Shave

Got my first truly comfortable shave with a straight today! It was a struggle to get here, but I did it, and with an old Wade and Butcher that I honed myself. Thanks to Lynn and all the guys that offered up the great advice. I'd like to tell you newcomers that are struggling, that it is worth it. Don't give up!

Like I've always said, when someone says they simply can't do this I say, you are then saying you can't do something that every man in most places of the world did as a daily activity back in the day.

Many times I've typed this hoping to encourage someone having trouble with technique or sensitive skin. Every time I've erased it because it looked like I was poking fun at them. But really, it should be couraging to know that it's not just some hypercoordinated iron-skinned few that can do this; pretty much anyone can learn to do it!
