Thanked: 154Straight razor came in handy for first aid
My straight razor came in unexpectedly handy this morning. I got a small injury on my right arm and in order to clean up the wound, I needed to shave a little around it. Being right-handed and using a cartridge razor with my left hand, it would have been difficult to shave a small area precisely. With the straight it was no trouble at all.

And here I thought you were going to tell us that you had to perform surgery or something. You know like "so this morning my appendix burst and I didn't have time to get to the ER so I had to perform surgery on myself"

my arms look funny with so many bald spots from honing ..lol..
to your post i have learned that before an injury or I.V. or getting blood work drawn i shave any area i expect will get taped by the nurse or physician ...lol.. talking to my tattoo guy the other day i told him id save a few minutes and shave the area with a straight or DE before i come in next time cause i was tired of watching him struggle with those cheap disposable razor on my thick hair ...lol
