Thread: Dry touch up

Anyone doing a dry final touch? After two with- and cross- lately I do a dry touch up on some difficult spots such as the jaw line to have a really smooth shave. This will remove the final whiskers and some peeling I guess.

It works really great, very light burn until rinsing my face. For me it seems the only way to remove them all..

I have attempted it a few times, don't really like it. I don't grow beard on my cheeks, but dry shave the hair on my moles, burns a bit.
Lately for touch ups I just use another drop of total shave solutions oil and a splash of water, much better.

I often will go back and hit spots that a touch-test reveals I missed. If I get to them while my face is still wet, that's easy, and no lather; if my skin is still soft, I'll just splash on some more water, and that works. If I notice them later (I keep a straight at work), then I lube with spit, which works amazingly well (slightly slippery), or hand lotion if I'm feeling fancy. Bone dry just doesn't work for me.

If I don't use some moisture, I pick up more skin than hair. It's more like razor burning than shaving.

Maybe with water only after the last pass, but usually slap some more lather on there. Plenty goes down the drain, so may as well use it. Me and a buddy tried dry shaving once when we were kids. Once was enough to convince me it wasn't for me.

I will hit stubborn spots immediately after I've removed my lather. The key word is immediately. Best of luck.

Clear water touch up after is quite common around here, but dry not on my Hollywood Face, plus that would be pretty hard on the edges too

I don't dry touch up. I will wet my fingers and then rub the intended spot so that its a little slick. Then I hit it with the razor.

I might do a dry touch up if I see a couple stragglers that I somehow missed, but that's about it.

Thinking about it burns.

Only on nose hair and ear hair.
