Hot Towel Treatment
I've noticed that my face can handle towels, and water in general , significantly hotter than my hands. But just because my face can handle it doesn't mean it's actually good to do or that it improves the shave. What do the forum members think of this? ---warm, hot, hotter, hottest, face melter? (just kidding about the last one)

The hotter the better as far as I'm concerned. When it's hot enough that my hands can just barely stand it that's just about right for me - feels fine on the face.

I'm inthe same boat as you guys. Even if it's so hot I can hardly wring the towel out, it feels really good on my face.

Your hands have many more nerve receptors for temperature than your face so though your face can take the heat better than your hands if your hands are burning thats a warning sign you've reached a safe temerature limit.

thebigspendur, I enjoy the very hot towel also, but you've directed the thread in the right direction. I don't want to damage my face skin or cause over dryness or cause more razor irritation by using too hot a towel.
