    something i have gotten out of the habit of but intend to start doing again. now the question is hot or cold lather to go with it. it's cold and rainy I'm thinking hot.

    You can benefit to using both methods, mostly i use hot water, but when its hot in summer time, all cold for me and even dip the razor in a glass of ice water, very refreshing!

    Using "Shaving Paper"? Any idea what that would be? Paper towels ??

    That's why I heat my razor for 5 minutes with a blow torch before every use.
