Default The death of a goatee

Title says it all really, I've had a goatee the last 4 months, but this morning my straight claimed victory! I've got an interview this afternoon so thought it should really go, make myself look a bit more professional.

I took my freshly honed dovo, whipped up a lather with mwf then got to work. The razor just sank through the hair as though it wasn't even there. It was sad but so satisfying to see it disappear in a single pass.

It might just be because I haven't felt my chin in a few months, but I'm sure it's closer and smoother than I could get before growing. Feel like growing out a full beard, just for the satisfaction of shaving it off now.

Just wanted to share this with you lot

    Good luck with the interview!

Funny, I just GREW a goatee after 3 year...testing my proficiency with the straight, seeing if I can keep things tight and get into the nooks and crannies.

Thanks guys, I hate interviews but I guess they're a necessary evil.

It does make you more conscious about where the blade is and I think it does help improve handling of the razor, but if the time comes to take it off, you're in for one satisfying shave.

When I shaved the goatee, I couldn't help but think "My face is cold" when I walked around.

Good luck on your interview, I know I hate doing interviews. Some times I get jealous of the guys who are allowed to grow facial hair, shaving everyday is just a pain. It seems the only reason I take leave is to not have to shave lol

I've been debating killing my goatee for some time. However, I think for the time being it shall stay, as it's already been there for over a decade. My son probably wouldn't recognize me without it.

I second that. It is a weird feeling.
