Why is it called a Spike Point
I found out last night. Shaving with my DD #1 and wasn't paying close attention and then it happened a one inch long gash in the side of my cheek. Took awhile to get it to stop bleeding but this morning looks ok and doesn’t look like it will leave a scar.

Sorry to hear that Ray. It took me a couple of those to get comfy with the spikes

Thanked: 0RayD, I think it's called a spike cuz it is a spike. Firestart was kind enough to provide me with this response to my question on spikes, I offer it to you:
"You may wish to review the help files as they contain some of the info on this. Here's a good one from Nenad: http://straightrazorpalace.com/co...nload/gid,136/
This should be a great start. Here's a lovely-looking Spanish point http://straightrazorpalace.com/fo...ead.php?t=8848 and here's a lovely specimen of a barber's notch razor http://straightrazorpalace.com/fo...ighlight=notch
Regardless of which style is used, it can cut ones face. (don't ask me how I know). Glad you don't think it will leave a scar but as someone here once said,,, 'Chicks Dig Scars' so we have that going for us. Keep at it and your septic pencil will gather dust. You may even pick it up one day and say "what's this for?"
Regards,
Zig

I've used several spikes and even this one a few times it was more a moment of inattention other than any thing else. Just one think to remind you that you may not be as good at some thing as you think you are.
