Thanked: 480A.D.D.
I have it. Acquisition Disorder Disorder. Where you simply must acquire everything you see.
I am getting into the forge side of things, so I picked this up off the bay for about 138 bucks. Shipping? Not a problem, some crazy roller derby girls I know from 3 states over skate at a rink 2 blocks from the old owners location, and they were going to be at the same festival as me. No delivery Fee!
Its in excellent condition, still sporting its original paint. I will spare you all photos of my new ATHA hammer
Then, after the festival was over, I made my yearly pilgrimage to my favorite antique mall. I can always count on finding a new razor at a good price there.
This time was no exception. Found a nice IrosKeen in decent condition for 20 bucks.
Was annoyed as heck when I opened it and the scale snapped in my hands.
Oh well, still not a bad buy in my opinion.
Depending on how well I do at festival, I set a price limit for myself before I walk into the store. My limit is 50 bucks. So, with the razor already in hand, I still had another 25 to go. I did not find another razor, but I did pick up a barbers hone that was just laying around.
Admittedly, I did go over my budget by 10 dollars, but I think I will forgive myself.
Yea, this stone. sitting there. eye level. fully visible. Nobody noticing or caring (except for me of course)
Sadly, no rubbing stone. but it IS NOS, with flawless top label, and a Hell-Grun side label. (anybody remember what D.S.W stands for?)

Thanked: 1371Congrats!
Finding an Escher in the wild is one of my holy grails.
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Thanked: 480When I saw the Escher, so prominently displayed in a glass case, My first thought was it was just a box, or maybe I was seeing things. I rubbed my eyes, put on a pair of reading glasses, and looked again. I had to repeat the process when I read the price tag! The whole time between spotting, and waiting for the sales help to open the case I was hovering around the display like a goose protecting the nest, Shuffled around, talked to myself, picked my nose and snorted a lot. All things needed to make sure other customers kept walking and didn't look at MY prize!

Thanked: 480Sulie, let me know what you are looking for, and your price range. I see stuff often. I could probably drop it off to you on one of my delivery trips to the city.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
