    Default W & B from Ebay for a steal...

Scored this beauty at EB for a lot less that I would be willing to pay for it. It is now in route and I am still looking for a flaw to justify the low price. Not shave ready, it has a slight smile and it has lost some etching under the buffing wheels but I can't find anything else wrong with it.

Hope it works out for you.Looks like it has taken a major ride on the wheels.

Agree. According to seller, it originally had significant pitting which required extra wheel work. Definitely not a museum piece but it promises to be a decent 7/8 W&B nevertheless. Love them W&B, this would be the fourth one in my arsenal.

I hope the seller knew what they were doing on the buffers, I'd hate to hear that the heat treatment had been killed by getting the blade too hot!

As far as I'm concerned, any razor that can be brought back to life and continue doing what the Razor Gods intended but are destroyed one way or another is a sin!

If you don't hone, send it to one who does. You will find many in Classifieds under Member Services. While I've done my own honing for these last few years, I have a favorite Pro. PM me if you want to know who that is.

Thanks. I have sent my SRs to a couple of pros (including Lynn) in the past. I am also developing my own honing skills. I am pretty sure I can give it a shot without fear of ruining it.
