Torrey "Whip" Wedge...
I scored this on Ebay a few weeks ago and have been trying to decide if I'm going to keep it. I think I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to keep it. She's going out to be honed and I'll shave with it for a while. If I really like it, I'll have it rescaled to match one of my brushes. There's a little pitting and patina, and - well, you can see it. The scales are warping slightly and are discolored but the blade closes true, with no rubbing or need for me to guide it. It's almost 5/8" and more than 9/16", so a little narrower than I'm used to, but something tells me it'll make a good shaver. I don't know why

Thanked: 4828I have a larger torrey wedge that shaves really nice. mine is not in that good of shape though. not pitted but some heavy hone wear. I have another one enroute and I am hoping she measures up. Happy shaves!
