Default Le Grelot I bought today.

This is the first straight razor I have bought in ages. I think I did rather well. Le Grelot. Before after pics. Just had some haze, no real rust issues and no pits. I need to buy a wrecked blade and cannibalize the scales. These are warped and one shrunk a bit it seems. Lovely shape to this razor.

Too bad about the scales but I love the blade profile.

I think you did rather well also. Looks to be worth it for the blade alone which should clean up well with a minimum of effort and take a fine edge. With a nice pair of replacement scales she would be a classic rescue.

I filed off the pivot pin on each so I could at least pop it in and check fit. Looks good, actually. I just need a microfastener/pin. Name: leg.jpg

Looks like it's almost ready for a Sunday go to meetn' shave. Nice razor.

Very happy I got more or less period correct (albeit american) black celluoid scales. Putting french stuff in anything other than simple black or white is just wrong imo.
