Thanked: 3Yes, acid etched. The color is hard to show in pictures. It is a kind of very dark brown patina with some etching on the tang and blade. Reminds me a bit of a gun brown (rust) finish on a very old firearm.
And Yes, it a Robert Williams:

Robert does some great work..
I have a few blades that won't get used and one is destined for a Hot Vinegar Acid Etch just to see how it comes out.. love that look.---------------------------------------------------
Love new things that look old, and old things, made to look new again!

I didn't look at the tang markings, but I could have sworn I was looking at one of Cedric's razors, in particular one of his Raptor blades, I was so focused I was lost in the moment, anyway my apologies great blade Mr Williams, and what a great razor to add to your stable.

I can see what you mean, the long tail, thumb-notch, smile and size of the thing makes it look similar in style to some of Cedric's works.
Don't take me wrong though, I'm not acusing mr Williams of copying, I think it's more a case of great(artistic) minds thinking alike.Last edited by Baxxer; 10-08-2013 at 07:53 PM.
