Early 1800s French 7 day set
Well this is my new crown jewel of the collection. Just got it in today. Sold a huge pile of razors to get funding for this one, but absolutely worth it. I haven't seen a changeable set with this much detail - the tang is etched all around, and the tail is a very unusual shape. The pictures speak for themselves...

Thats probably the most beautiful 7 day set I ever saw!!! That would be worth the sale of one of my kidneys I should think...

One thing I saw is how much detail there is in the notches to not only look awesome, but to make the blades interlock into the box. Extreme amount of craftmanship here.

Resto will be limited to removing surface oxidation and dirt on the blades with polish, but mostly focused on the box. I'm going to protect the wood, glue cracks, rebuilt the missing escutcheon plate on top, and clean all the dirt out. It's a museum quality historical piece, and I wouldn't want to do more than that.

I was going to counter that counter with a kidney and a half liver plus my spleen, but then I remembered it was removed when I was seven. And gall bladders are worthless for trading.
