Thanked: 16913/16" New England Razor Co.
This is an extremely pretty blade. It's big, and check out the hollowing. It just feels so balanced as the meat of it and the length are pretty much in perfect equilibrium. Sadly, someone cooked the fake ivory scales to correct a warp and they have to go.. They look crap and reek. I never felt a blade with such balance. It is absolutely perfect....

A nice smiling blade , should clean up a treat !!
Best get those scales off asap in case there is cell rot.
If they smell, it's a bad sign of worse to come.
I like 13/16" blades, good size to shave with.http://straightrazorplace.com/workshop/18504-welcome-workshop-how-do-i-where-do-i-what-do-i-answers-here.html

Thanked: 169Looked for scales this past weekend, but it was fruitless. Going to be proactive about this. If nothing comes up, I may make duplicates of the originals out of some nice wood, but I'm not feeling that desperate or crazy yet.

Thanked: 169Had them duplicated in old walnut by wrightpulaski. Will have a bone wedge. Should be a treat to use once it is all back together and honed up.
