    Default Plumacher Blue Wonder

The Blue Wonder arrived late yesterday and was given a light cleaning and sanitizing followed by honing. It is not NOS but very little used if at all. I was very happy with the condition.

This one is 13/16 with blued tang/spine and jimps top and bottom. The blade, which is silver steel, is very hollow ground and took a great edge with a narrow bevel. I did not blunt the spike. I'm going to guess that it is pre WWII as it is stamped made in Germany.

Shaved with it this morning for a close and comfortable BBS shave. She's a sweetheart that will keep you on your toes with that spike tip.

That's a beauty! I love spikes, and that one looks like one to be respected.

Very nice. Only needs the tip rounded and it would be perfect(;-)

For sure spike points are not for everyone. If you are a beginner or a slap happy careless shaver then no definitely not. OTH if you have enough experience and are an attentive shaver it is not so bad. A bit of fear keeps me very attentive when using spike points.

    She really is pretty Bobh...

I'm still envious, more now that I've got some other razors under my belt. But to the highest bidder goes the spoils.
