What do you see in this picture?
I am going to the auction tonight (1-11-13) and while previewing on line I spotted this lot. What do you see in the picture?

A veteran is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check, made payable to the United States of America, "for an amount up to and including my life".

Thanked: 3227Yea, it does appear to be a matching plate. No clue what a scuttle like that goes for. I guess it would depend on who made it, when it was made and for how long. Sorry, wish I could help.

Bob do you know or know someone that could give me some of the higher end names of makers I should be looking for. This is a higher end estate auction this week.

While their is only one obvious scuttle and a sugar bowl I quite like the other two bowls as potential lather builders. But then, I like to experiment, making decent lather in any container that interests me. I will have to post some pics of at least one that has worked for me. Have fun at the auction hidestoart. But be careful, that to can become addictive (says the sufferer of all addictions short of illegal.)
