    Default G Johnson razor

This came in the mail today. I believe she is from sometime in the 1830-40 period and don't know if she is a regrind or not. she is not a wedge but more of a near wedge 11/16 in size. Gave her a quick clean/disinfect and proceeded to give her a honing. Shaves smooth and close despite possibly being 170 plus years old. Could use a total restore but who knows maybe I'll just use her as is.

Looks great the way it is, use it and enjoy it! the seven star trademark is after 1835.

Thanks for the info guys. I was a little suspicious of it because of it's condition and took a chance. I am leaning more and more to Martin's advise to just use it as is. Just going to keep feeding the scales some Neats Foot Oil over time. This mornings shave was the second one for it and was BBS like the first one. An amazing shaver for it's age.
