    Default Tuckmar

I need to recondition the blade a touch, but wanted to share. Just arrived today. Even classier looking in person than the photos led on. I virtually never break my golden rule of buying straights unless they are right in front of me, but I made an exception. Really heavy blade, hard to explain, but it just feels denser than most.. Top and bottom jimps, a touch over 6/8 (don't have a paper scale handy) pretty much the works. Anybody have one and care to share user experience?

The closest thing I have is a shoulderless Tuckmar Eclipse. It hones easily, takes a great edge, and is among my best shavers. It's not as fancy as yours but It Just Works. I think you'll be very happy with yours.

I have a plain Jane Tuckmar Hammond which is a heavier grind and shaves well. I think you will be more than satisfied with it. It is a well known and respected name from Solingen. She is pretty now and quick spit and polish will make her shine.

Looks like that will clean up quite easily and well.
It is a looker from the Tuckmar's I have seen,
I do not ever recall hearing of someone being disappointed in a Tuckmar that was shave ready.

    Nice find enjoy it.
    It is just Whisker Whacking
    Relax and Enjoy!
