Default W. Greaves & Sons stub tail

So after losing the auction for a Joseph Rodgers that looked to be from around the 1830's, I have been determined recently to get a seriously older razor in a good condition, and I think I found it. I won this W. Greaves and Sons that the seller estimates to be from between 1817 (because the company became "& Sons" starting that year) and because it isn't stamped "sheafworks", before 1823 (when the new factory was built). Does anyone see any reason why I should doubt the validity of this estimate?
