My first "set" just arrived and I thought I would share what I received in hopes of gathering more information.

Tang reads “John Williams” “Damascus Steel Sheffield”
There was no measurement of the blades and the pics didn’t show size relative to anything. The blade is. 7/16th x 2 3/4, More like I would expect a woman’s set.
These came shave ready as proven this morning, practically new with very little signs of usage.
I would like to confirm aprox date and if in fact pre 1881 as was discussed on this forum a couple of years ago.

Aug 2011 a thread started by volleykinginnc who was inquiring on SRP regarding a potential purchase.
JimmyHAD If the tang has "Made In England" stamped on it they are post 1881, if not .... it only reads "Sheffield" they were produced before that year.

Any additional information on this set would be greatly appreciated.
