22 Short and my first W&B (rough like cob)
These two arrived today, numbers 9 and 10 of my RAD. Well, you can see here just how much cash i throw at razors.
(Spent the rest on hones and strops and pastes you know )
My first W&B, my first real Sheffield, and second heavy-ish blade. I expect to like it a lot-right after a little fixing up. Looks like a carpet brad for a hinge pin currently, with serious "overruns" in the previous pin removal operation. Proof once again that there are DIY'ers and also there are Craftsmen (Craftsmen start as DIY's i reckon).
Of course, if you use a nail, you only has to peen one side-and skip the washer...
I'm really diggin' the cartridge reference. It's from a KanTukky supply house, J H Weis, Louisville.

I really like the cartridge reference and the spelling of "Kentucky" on the second razor. These should clean up nicely!

Bevel set and scales cleaned on 22short. Next 4/8k then coti. Pics above show the mid-blade nick i had to take out.
The WB had three nicks on the toe. I pulled the scales and smoothed out the edge on DMT last night. Will work on bevel today. It's a 6/8.

SUCCESS!
sorta. The WB edge is ready to shave test...just needs scales. It was so easy, once you factor in the smile (my first).
but then that little bastard 22 Short has been a total PIA. Two times through my entire regimen and it AIN'T right, looks nice, tests okay, won't shave.
so i bid on some more...
