    Solutions:
    1/ thinning the wedge
    2/ steam and flatten the horn scales

    If it's that rare then I'm surprised you're going to rescale it! IMO, it looks beautiful just the way it is.

    As I mentioned earlier in the thread, twice, thought the scales were good via the pic and description. The person restoring it for me, having tried many things, all mentioned here (he is a member of the forum), found the scales beyond saving.

    Oops, sorry. Guess I should have read the entire thread! Too bad though, what a shame, but nevertheless a great score!

    Well, Val at The Gentlman's Den has finished the W&B Anchor razor.

    He surprised me and did a 3 pin restore on this razor. I think it looks fantastic! Also, Val just received a very nice Escher, so I'm going to get a chance to shave with a blade that's been honed on one of these famous stones.

    Can't wait to try it out!
