Thanked: 60Robeson Shuredge
Picked up this Robeson Suredge "New Science Concave" off the bay, and it polished up quite nicely! It's a double concave, which I didn't have previously. I'll be taking it to the hones along with a couple of others soon.

Thanked: 3215Nice, love those Robersons they are one of my favorite shavers.
Take a cotton buff and wipe a thin coat of metal polish with you finger, let it dry and buff the jimps. This works with a buffer and spiral wheel or a Dremel, makes them look like new. Wear a mask it does make a cloud.
If they are real bad, (not yours) hit it with a brass wire wheel first to remove as much rust and junk.
Nice razor, love the scales and the smile.

Thanked: 60Actually, turns out it was just left over polishing compound in the jimps, it seems. I was able to scrape it all out using the high tech tool of my shirt and the edge of my thumb nail.

Very nice razor with a great finish. They were manufactured with a wide hollow ground bevel instead of flat. I would think that the first times the razor was gently honed, it only took a very few strokes. Mine is old and the years have wiped out the really thin edge of the original grind. It is still a great shaver!
