Default First Cleanup & First Time Honing

Got this little Tonsorial Gem by E.A. Clauberg off ebay. Cleaned the blade then honed it on lapping film. This was my first honing attempt and I am extremely pleased how it came out. It was sharp and gave a great shave! I can honestly say it was the best SR shave Ive had. Part of that is probably because the blade is extremely thin, much thinner than any of my other SR's. I guess that would be a full hollow ground?Name: DSC03673_zps27edd948.jpg

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

OP sometimes you just trip over a great blade. I've discovered a W&B near wedge that is one of my favorites. Used it today just an awesome result. I think you get more satisfaction from honing your own razors. It's a lot of fun.

10pups nice aviator. I liked that tutorial link you posted on blade profiles. Thanks.
