Vintage Sheffield Joseph Rodgers & Sons
Seems I forgot I put a bid on a Joseph Rogers and Sons nice looking cleaver. Can't figure out if it's a 7/8 or 8/8?
Just got in, and lo and behold, I was surprised to see I had won this for $78.00, completely forgot about it. Should clean up well!!!

Thanked: 10Beautiful blade!
I'm brand new to this sport and already trying to find myself a nice Vintage blade to send to be restored/re-scaled. Unfortunately, I don't know where to look or how much to pay without ripping myself off. I've been looking for almost the same exact size/style you found there even if it's a different manufacturer. Any tips on what you suggest since it looks like you know what you're doing?

Hi and welcome to the forum.
My advice would be to keep an eye out on the Classified section of the SRP forum. Members sell a variety of blades there and you will always know you are getting a well maintained, quality blade that members will stand behind if you have any issues with it or need some help - you simply can't go wrong using the Classifieds section for razors, "For Sale".
Having said that, the Classified section also has a Want to Buy and a Want to Trade section.
If you have a specific blade in mind, go to that section and post exactly what you want, or even post what you think you may want. Members will offer up some blades for you to have a look at until you find the one that suits you.
Can't go wrong using that section of the SRP website.
Also, if you see something on E-Bay that you're unsure of, post the item listed and ask questions, you'll get the feedback you're looking for. And generally, if a member posts an item they are interested in, the other members will stay away from bidding on it, they're some real honor on this site, members want to help each other out.
So, there you go, other members will hop in and help as well.
Cheers!
