Default Wade and Butcher 8/8 Celebrated, FBU and W&B 7/8 Celebrated Extra-Hollow

RAD bit hard this last month, but I think the vaccine, "Your current PayPal balance is: $0.07.", will cure me of it, temporarily at least. Will post pics when they're cleaned up! I asked if there were any cracks in the FBU, told it was just a stain, no chips or cracks.

Would prefer had this been square tipped, but it will be my first barber's notched razor, W&B Celebrated, FBU:

And here's the W&B 7/8 Celebrated, Extra Hollow:

Always preferred square tipped blades, never tried an Extra-Hollow W&B. Should be fun!

Well here's the finished W&B, Celebrated, Extra Hollow Ground, 7/8 spike point, restored by Valery at the Gentleman's Den:

    Nice razor, Phrank.
Why do I have the feeling you are a Wade & Butcher fan?

Hahahaha! Yea, you could say that! You can toss in a Wosty and a few Joseph Rodgers as well...then it may be time to sell a kidney for a Filarmonica #14!!

    Sheesh, it never ends....

And here is the 9/8 Wade and Butcher, Celebrated, Hollow Ground, For Barbers Use, resurrected...it had some serious pitting, the blade was filthy and the scales were cracked and broken, but Valery at the Gentleman's Den has brought it back to life with a 3-pin, beautiful selection of blonde / dark carved horn:

Very nice Phrank! How many of those 'Celebrated' choppers do you have exactly!? I like the carved horn too, I've never seen that treatment on scales before.

Phrank, please take a pledge to not bid on anymore big W & B's for while so the rest of us can get a crack at out doing each other in the race for "mine's bigger than yours!". I finally acquired a W & B, but it is a mere 6/8, shaves nice but I need a monster to really feel manly on those mornings when my age is saying, "who do you think you are?". I have reached my limit on razors but there is always the exception.

I have two of the 9/8's Celebrated, FBU's,...those are real tough to find, and when you do, they tend to be in bad shape. The scales were designed by Valery at the Gentleman's Den, he's a real artist when it comes to razors and he's got great skills.

Also one 9/8 Chopper in blond horn(no etchings) and the 8/8 Anchor Razor in dark horn, both great blades.

Now for some reason, I've lucked out on the 7/8th's, I've got two Celebrated at BIN costs of $80 and $120, that took some polish, some new scales, and a honing and they turned out beautifully! Just simply hunting E-Bay when I have an hour or two and they pop...they're there, it just seems to be patience and luck! One is the spike point above, and the other is a round point, which I'm not a fan of, but it is a beautiful piece and shaves like a dream.

And Pope Razorfeld - sorry, if I see em, and they aren't at a crazy high price, I always will try...
