I've honed the filly today and shaved with it. Great shave, but the razor still needs some time on the coticule to get it smooth.

    Interesting & beautiful Filly there.

I am particularly interested in the Filarmonica history and at a wild guess ( I am happy to be corrected) but this could have been made during a transitional period in their history.

You see the tang stamps indicate an early blade with the writing at the top curved, this was later changed to straight writing

But the scales on this indicate a later version, the transluscent scales are more often seen on the more modern Filly's from around the 60's I believe.
The pins are of the original type, so an interesting razor, congratulations

Indeed, the tang stamps indicate an early blade as is the kind of etching (it says Doble [Lyra] Temple, not Filarmonica [Lyra] Doble Temple).
But I thought the scales were also an earlier version, as they have the silver lyra symbol. Is there any evidence or proof of the history of Filarmonica?

No documented history that I have seen, so really just information pieced together across the forums.
These scales are interesting though, another bit of confusion to add to my Filarmonica database!

    Dimitry,
I would like to request one more pic of your Filarmonica DT. I'm trying to compile examples of the different blade etch
and tang info of the Doble Temple 14. If you would please, align the show side (front) of the blade straight across the
pic (left to right) showing the entire blade from nose to tail. Yours is the first one I've seen with that blade etch and
curved tang info. I think this one is the first after the "Doble JMP Temple" making it a later half first generation.
    Thank you,
    Rog
