Thanked: 884I respect BobH's opinion, however, I have an NOS what I believe to be a salesman's sample of a razor made For GRAEF that has a pretty much identical blade shape and tang as yours.
A. GRAEF
320 Broadway, New York City
Inventory manufactured by Wester & Butz, Solingen, Germany
ca. 1905-1908
Mine has a mother of pearl covered tang and black plastic or cell scales.

Thanked: 3226Hey Wullie
I suspect that this type of razor was very popular at one time and was made by more than a few companies. Be interesting to see who Kevin's was made by when he gets it in. Would be funny if it turned out to be yet another company not yet mentioned. Here is a shot of mine.
They all look pretty similar, eh.

Very nice...beautiful inlay on the tang! I won a Boker King Cutter on the Bay, looked great, had the MOP inlay on the tang, unfortunately, when I got it, there was significant rust underneath and the inlays had started to come off (saw that on the pics, figured it could be fixed) the tang, ended up not being salvageable.
Yours looks great!! That's a great looking blade....enjoy!

Thanked: 60It's still not arrived as yet, but it's coming from the UK to Australia. The makers name is TILSMITH, struggling to find any info about them. Not really sure where to look apart from google.

Thanked: 60My Razor arrived and it looks better than in the pictures.
The only markings are Tillsmith Made in Germany and The Ritz on the Blade. It has a box and that says "Tilsmith"-Razor Made of first class steel.
An internet search turned up no results a par from ebay so I'm at a loss for manufacturer info or age or the razor.
The scales are unfortunately warped and the razor wind shut without catching them so I guess I will need to find someone to restore the scales and sharpen this beauty up for me.
Any info much appreciated. It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness
