Default My First Swedish Giant --C.V. Heljestrand MK #133 7/8+

I've taken a recent liking to Swedish steel, and particularly Heljestrands. I have a few smaller ones, but I finally got a good deal on a big one -- an MK #133 from an Ebay international seller. I had to wait several weeks to receive the razor, but the wait was sure worth it. The razor arrived today in excellent condition and was shave ready! I stropped it up, and it tree tops hairs.

The blade has a little hone wear and is shorter in the toe, The blade is 7/8 in the shorter areas and around 15/16 in the widest part. Though there is a little slant towards the toe, the bevel is level.

I will give this bad boy a spin tomorrow morning and report back.

The big swede shaved like a beast this morning. The blade had a nice amount of weight to it without feeling unwieldy. It did a nice job of plowing through problem area -- like ATG on the chin and mustache area. As expected, the blade held a lot of soap and only had to be rinsed/wiped a few times. Overall, excellent shave.
